No Friend Of Lakewood Or Dogs

Pictured above is the Rocky River resident that has brought the lawsuit against the city
of Lakewood for building the dog park on Lakewood property. HE has repeatedly complained
about the dogs barking, though residents that live much closer to the dog park in Rocky
River.

When the story first broke in Observer's article "Rocky River Starts Dog Fight With Lakewood." http://media.lakewoodobserver.com/issue_pdfs/Observer%20Vol.%2003%20Issue%2016.pdf

While helping tim research that story we could not find one Rocky River resident that could
even remember hearing the dogs barking from that direction. This would be nearly every
house that side of the Emerald Canyon. How odd? Not really, we all know people that get
things under their skin and just refuse to let go.

My question is why is the resident standing in the middle of the sound check and telling
the pros how to do what, and when to check what? Seems fixed to me.

His idea was to move it to the section of the park that repeatedly floods throughout the
year. When I mentioned that to him he said, "He didn't cares."

It does seemed fixed to me. Maybe his momma never gave him enough hugs when he was a kid, OR that maybe when he was kid he wanted a puppy for his birthday but his momma never gave him one. LOL.

I find it funny that he can hear dogs bark from the dog park, but no dogs barking from the city shelter right next door. Dogs are there too. How does he know exactly where the barking is coming from? Does this man want to move the shelter too? Maybe I will take a walk around his "neighborhood" with some of my dogs....

Missy

You are probably right in your assessment of the man.

For the record, I think Nate Kelly, our immediate neighbors, and myself are as close as
any property to the actual dog park. With clear line of site, of the park(no trees in the
way), and east of it. While I often hear dogs barking walking by, and even playing in the
river, I cannot ever remember hearing the dog park, and certainly never at a level that
would cause me to start a one person war against the city.

Where he suggested putting it would cost Lakewood a fortune to move, pave parking,
fences, build up the ground, gravel, etc. I would hate to think that the need for county
votes would allow our city to bend to the whim of a couple non-Lakewood residents. We
shall see.

I think the noise generated by the Rocky River Freeway, aka, Clifton Park By-Pass, is greater than the noise generated by the Lakewood Dog Park. But that is just a wild quess.

Perhaps in the interest of just getting along we can close the dog park in exhange for a restored Clifton Park.

Or we could close the by-pass and free way and put the park there. Or everyone who owns a dog should join Missy on her walks with regularly scheduled 10 minute delays. I can borrow my sons yippy minpin/terrier.

Hasn't this issue died multiple times? Every time I'm at the dog park, I look up and realize how far I am from any Rocky River residences. You can't even see one. The dog park has reasonable operating hours too, it's not like there are dogs barking in the middle of the night (even if he could realistically hear them).

I agree with Missy, sounds like this guy just needs a dog. It will help relax him and lower his BP.

I thought it was the City of Rocky River who filed suit? Not one person. It's amazing how one person can have so much influence in City Hall!

Perhaps, in this age of information, someone could give some information on who this man is, and where he works and plays. We could then consider this information in conducting our lives. I'd be reluctant to buy a used car from a company who employed him as a salesman.
