My husband and I love the Brunswick GA area so once in a while I'll poke around for jobs and housing. Well in doing so on Craigslist I found an advertisement from the State of Ohio labeled "The State of Ohio is Hiring" With our high unemployment numbers in our state - why would our state government find it necessary to advertise out of state.

Maybe it's a requirement of the funding for the job, could be federal.

Georgians will take the jobs that Ohioans just won't do.

Georgia has a state income tax - most pay 6%. But the climate in Ohio is more harsh comparatively. Jobs and people are leaving Ohio, so unless it's a really great opportunity, there is a lot of competition for equally good work in southern states like Texas, Florida and even Louisiana that do not have state tax. This can mean keeping upwards of $1800 for a $30k job.
