read a sign today that ss cyril & methodius church becoming transfiguration parish.

It already is... kicked off on 3/21. I think changing the sign is number 119 on Fr. Bill's list of 200 to-dos....

Sorry, I have been a little too close to what's occurred and I am incorrectly assuming that most folks know. SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic parish in Lakewood merged with St. Rose of Lima parish in Cleveland to form a new entity called Transfiguration Parish, which held its opening mass on March 21. The SS Cyril and Methodius Church building will house the new parish.
As things currently stand, it will be one of the Catholic parishes that will remain in Lakewood along with St. Luke and St. Clement ... my understanding is that St. James, which is slated to close this summer, is continuing with its appeal to remain open, but I am not close to that situation so I don't want to speak out of turn. Perhaps someone closer to that can weigh in if I have misrepresented the current situation.
The Transfiguration link provided in the above post gives an overview of the significance of this event in the life of Jesus.

what is the significance/what does it mean/confusion?
i do not have answers to any of these questions.
i was just driving by the church, saw the sign and posted the info, thought people
may like to know - that's it.
