Oppman Terrace or whatever they're calling the Projects at Madison and W. 101st, is now registered as a National Historic Landmark.

Does this mean they're not going to be able to renovate this roach motel?

Sharon can you fill us in as to what historical significance happened there?

I lived there when they first renovated in 1974. Apartments were beautiful and I was the second person to move in there off the waiting list. Place was great for two years and then it got to be kind of scary. I took my little boy and moved.

My aunt and uncle lived there for 25 years long before it became subsidised housing, in the 40's and 50's. I know of nothing that would account for it, just that there's a big sign in front saying so (I was driving that way yesterday).
