The mission of the Lakewood Historical Society is to enhance the quality of life in Lakewood by offering educational programs for all ages; providing stewardship of artifacts and buildings; and advocating for our historic community.

The Lakewood Historical Society provides a wide variety of services to the community including:

* A photographic collection of over 10,000 images of Lakewood's history
* Ohio Heritage summer program for children
* Award-winning school programs, special displays and travels trunks for us in classroom
* Historical information on Lakewood houses, settlers, buildings and streets
* Special tours for groups
* Community educational programs

Your membership:

* Enables the society to continue its educational programing throughout the community
* Promotes historical preservation in Lakewood, including the upkeep and continued restoration of the Nicholson House and the Oldest Stone House Museum
