Could We Have Some Goood Neighbor Stuff

Isn't it funny that some people here failed at a competitive forum that asked for positive change and come on here and act like fools?

Agreed, that Ryan is one great big trouble maker

Sharon, haven't seen you in here since the ACORN/Housing discussion. Why'd you leave?

"Who's the more foolish? The fool or the fool who follows him?"--Obi-Wan Kenobi
Maybe we're looking for some positive change too?

Maybe I was sick and wound up in the hospital?
You're probably a young guy, am I right?

I'm sorry, I had no idea.
Young/Old is all relative but, I'm probably one of the younger people here.

I never will forget one time when it seemed that the entire Observation Deck was at each other's throats...
And then we decided to have an LO bowling party at Mahall's, and virtually everyone showed up.
At first I thought those bowling balls would become cannon fodder.
Actually, people started talking, having fun, and REALLY enjoying each other's company.
PARTICULARLY some of the most vitriolic and passionate 'deckers who had really gone after each other on the 'Deck.
It was a great night. I hope we can do it again. Haven't met you yet Roy, but we have dueled a bit here, have we not? (smile)
Sharon is a fantastic gal, and one of the few truly great people whom I've met through this 'Deck.
By the way Sharon, sorry that I missed you when you were in the hospital, but I'm hoping things are better for you!
Gotta get another bowling night going....soon...
JIMMY! ARE YOU LISTENING????????
Back to the banjo...

We have, Gary, and I enjoyed it.
It would be interesting to get to meet some of the people here face-to-face.

Ahh Haa. I heard mahalls (sp?) is having sign up's for leagues. We should start an LO bowling league. I am not very good at real bowling. I do however like drinking and kick butt at wii bowling. So... Any thoughts?

There are few things more fun than bowling.
Plus you are with friends; socializing, relaxing, and enjoying yourself and others.
Mahall's has a wonderful classic vibe, as well.
I'm not sure if I could league bowl, but I sure do miss our bowling party.

Until your wrist muscles die on you and you can't play. For me, that takes about 1 game.

If you ask those that know me, they'll tell you I don't know how do to any of those things.

And, if I may be blunt, a slightly funky smell.

Roy, Roy, Roy....
Firstly, my being born without a sense of smell must have a few advantages, I suppose... (smile)
Once as a child, I seem to vaguely recall a chance meeting with a skunk, back in the hills and hollers of Pennsylvania. I guess I didn't notice at the time, but the family did later.
Tomato juice time in the galvanized tub, it was....
And yeah, I know a thing or two about the socializing game. How NOT to play it, that is. (Check out my upcoming column in Wednesday's Lakewood Observer about that kind of stuff) A number of childhood so-called "disabilities" made socializing an unreal dream for a few years. (or so I thought at the time)
Finally, you just decide to get out and do it anyway.
Socializing, that is.
It's worth it, too.
Believe me on this other point too....When you get, how shall I say it?
A bit SEASONED in life-years perhaps?
You do learn a bit more about those physical challenges too.
One day, I happened to moan and groan in front of Mom.
Her reply?
"Well Gary, this is as good as it gets!"
See you at the bowling alley, Roy.
Back to the banjo....

I wasn't bemoaning bowling, Gary. I enjoy bowling. I was simply stating the fact that after a game, maybe a game-and-a-half, my arm is dead and my score drops like a rock.
And if something gets put together that fits my schedule, I'm in.

It would be good to meet you, Roy.
Hopefully they'll get something going before too long.
Back to the snowblower, oops, I mean the banjo...

Roy - Mahall's smell is part of it's classic charm.
Gary - One of my pretend boyfriends (don't want to get Stan mad), thanks for the kudos. I just got out of the hospital again. Not my favorite thing to do. Oh well.
Being disabled has stopped me from being a bada** ya know!
Later gator.
