I have spent that last couple weeks reading the Deck since joining. I am amazed at the openness of the discussions.

Excuse me if I am not doing this correctly, I am trying!!!!!
If my old town had this forum, I might have stayed!
civil discourse (plural civil discourses)
1. An engagement in conversation intended to enhance understanding. Done well, it can drive to insight that is actionable in the context of furthering individual dignity and improving society.
"As I say, I'm a discourse advocate. What form it comes is less important to me than the fact that there is discourse."
Jim Lehrer

You're doing fine Ken.
What always amazes me is the people who are happy to meet me after reading my posts. There are a couple who turn away. But you know the old kitchen, heat saying.
One of the few things that stuck with me from 12 years of Catholic school was the "sin of omission". It clearly states that it is a sin to lie, omitting information is as big a sin. In other words, if you don't tell the truth, or speak out when you see something is wrong, you lie. Truly made an impact on me.
It's not always easy to speak out. Those that do wrong, try and make you pay for it or threaten you. You learn to stand strong and realize that moral and ethical behavior is it's own reward. It also serves as an example to your children to stand up for what is right.
Welcome to the rodeo.

All
Thank you for the welcome. I do find it nice that after a couple days I am able to come back and catch up with discussions, facts, and fantasies!!!! I am having an extremely hard time trying to understand why the schools would be so unwilling to come forward with facts. Why would they not let the committee decide what is needed to do the job at hand, instead of telling all to not care about the kids? Sorry not in the right area.
