Recess townhall meetings

I attempted to ask this elsewhere, but my question seems to have been swallowed up by other conversations. I may have gotten a response, but I can't honestly tell.

Does anyone know if Kucinich is holding any town hall meetings? When and where?

Yes he is, and will have a schedule soon.

Sorry for the delay Roy.

Not a bad idea - that way he can deal with only one screaming nutbag at a time.

Not a bad idea at all. The nutbag brand of conservatives seem to be coming out of the word work to childishly disrupt townhalls across the country.

Town Hall Tradition Backfires For Some Democrats - NPR

To be fair the liberals are engaging in silly radio and tv campaigns to paint the conservatives as the enemy of the town hall. I guess there is some truth to that I just wish they would spend their advertising dollars actually talking about things that matter.

Note: Not all conservatives are nutbags. Just the one's are to immature to engage in dialog. Or take Sara Palin seriously. ;-)

Typical denny approach

Ever since first Parma town hall meeting several years ago , which was billed as an OPEN ASK ALL meeting - denny has modified format to finally ONE ISSUE ONLY - NO RESPONSE ON ANY OTHER QUESTION(s) etc . Also he brings others to prop him up with possible details on any/all other specific to topic questions . Apparently denny too busy giving his stump canned talks outside Ohio-10 to do his homework on other/all ISSUES of importance to NE Ohio residents .

New format on Radio even better - Pre-screened single question by staff/ radio or denny group , then choice of pro-denny questions ( planted or real?) ,with a ready available MUTE/OFF button and of course NO hard copies of anything = denny Democracy at its finest .

Suggest he FACE THE MUSIC and discuss local reality issues like everyone else - ( apparently applies to all but "i love denny" group and of course denny) .

PS see J(sr) VP of the above "I love denny club" is now VP? Chief Spokeman? of the "Increase denny retirement plan ie keep denny in DC - maybe he will do something for the locals?" election group . Likely denny expects to continue in this position until Ohio-10 dissolved as a result of 2000 census and continuing mass exodus out of NE Ohio for ALL but useless pols . A direct result of the failing NE Ohio economy and resulting lack of good jobs (more fast food "positions" don't qualify except possibly for recent local HS grads) .

"Heard Shirley M moving the junior bed out of the attic and into the guest stable for him , and Willie N starting to accumulate special smokies for the group" .

WAS a JOKE as failed x nearly recalled Mayor , IS a JOKE as a do nothing for locals except denny DC REPRESENTative , and WILL CONTINUE TO BE a JOKE until he leaves for Calif and/or Shirley ranch .

A Shining example for others to model themselves after -. mr career pol ( at the best or worst )

Hope the PO carried this denny ad?/article BUT I cannot find the most recent /any issue of the Parma Observer .

1. Granted, however, there are just as many "nutbags" on the liberal side of the spectrum as on the conservative side. Tell me, do you complain about "mobs" when its ACORN and SEIU?

2. The last time I checked, the Bill of Rights said, and I quote:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

So, as long as these "nutbags" do not become violent, they have a right to voice their opinions.

"I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration you're not patriotic. We should stand up and say, "We are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration!"
-Hillary Clinton

3. I was unable to listen to the broadcast, but I will be downloading it shortly so I can, so take my last comment with that in mind.
I'm going to disagree with your previous statement, Dennis does not have to take ANY screamers. He would have a call screener and caller board he could, in theory, weed out anyone he chooses.

I don't have a problem with anything you said there, Roy. Peaceful assembling, engaging in spirited debate and making your point of view heard are all fine, honorable things and to be commended and encouraged. Shouting down all those who don't share your point of view, intimidating them into silence and intentionally disrupting the meetings for no purpose other than shutting down communication is no way to behave in a democratic society and I don't tolerate it from the left or the right.

I'd love nothing more than to hear from engaged citizens who have a cogent argument to make about why the proposed reforms would cost more, threaten choice in the for-profit healthcare market, cost prohibitively more than is budgeted for, etc. I keep looking for a comprehensive conservative analysis of the proposed measures and I can't find any that don't rely on distortions, mistruths or boogedy-boogedy scare tactics. If you know of any, please send them my way. Also, does anyone have a good Kampe-to-English translation tool?

From what little I did get to hear of the broadcast, callers were able to express their opinions no matter what position they held, but got the mute when they got shouty, abusive or repetitive. No different than any call-in show, really. I heard quite a few dissenting opinions allowed through - the staff at WTAM aren't exactly Kucinich fans, and I don't expect the producer or the engineer running the switchboard gave him any favors.

Sorry will try to use only common 3 and 4 letter words for you and possibly others on this site to help you "under-stand" my posts - ( yes realize under-stand is really 10 letters but for you have broken it into a two 5 letter combo ) . Hope it helps .

re your request for a " Kampe to English translation tool " , I would suggest you purchase an ancient book called a DICTIONARY - Again - hope it helps and its addition will probably double the BP Library . If you can afford it or find a "buy one get one free" deal maybe you can donate the second copy to the LO for use by others .

Oh, Dennis, you sweet dear thing, I understand all the words on their own, but they lose all sense in the order you've chosen to put them. You've apparently decided that such little annoyances as 'articles' and 'pronouns' don't need to exist in the language anymore, much less much harder concepts as 'complete sentences with a subject and a predicate'. Does your internet provider charge you by the word?

Do you hope to actually convince others of your point of view, or are you only here to be a gadfly to Jim? If it's the former, please take a little extra time to form coherent thoughts so we may better understand you. If it's the latter, then I suppose I'm long overdue to set you on 'ignore'.

Hard to dumb-down my msgs to your level to possibly improve the possibility you may understand what I / others? posted . Sorry but suggest you ask one or more of your better educated buddies to explain to you my/others? msgs on this site .

I welcome your "ignore" or is it ignorance so I won't feel (out of sympathy) that I "need" to waste my time trying to explain the obvious to you ..

Not needed. Ever listen to Jim Rome? Have a listen and re-read Kampe's posts. Very Clone-esque. I'm out.
