Kudos to Lakewood

Perhaps in the climate of “cutting back” we should take a second to look at what we do have. For one this past weekend I was treated to a wonderful time around Lakewood. In the sprit of this walkable city the family and I walked down to see the parade. A wonderfully big and well put together parade. There were people from all the surrounding cities coming to see what LAKEWOOD had to offer. They must have been impressed as they came from all over to see the fireworks show. It should also be noted that we are in the business of providing “regional entertainment.”. Look at all the other cities that had to cut their firework shows. If I am correct that left only Lakewood, Bay Village, and Cleveland to host shows. Anyhoo, just my thoughts on this nice Sunday afternoon. I hope everybody had as much fun as I did this weekend.

We had our family join us at the fireworks last night. They used to go to Edgewater until the fireworks were moved to Downtown Cleveland. This was the first time for them at Lakewood Park. They were very impressed and are looking forward to joining us for the parade and fireworks for the whole day next year.
All the children danced to the music, oooed and aahhed at the fireworks and didn't even seem to mind the long walk home. Needless to say they all fell asleep promptly.
It was a wonderful time here in Lakewood...my favorite place to live.

I love the 4th in Lakewood. I love the walkability of the city and the fact that on the 4th Lakewood has an amazing small town feel to it. We love the parade and the fireworks and listening to the Lakewood Project. We have lived in many different cities throughout the US and Lakewood does the 4th of July better than any other city I have lived it. Thanks to all who made the day work.
