The Observation Deck

I stopped in at the new Blackbird Baking Company, a sandwich shop and bakery, this afternoon. They're in the grey building at the back of the parking lot for Around The Corner, which runs between Detroit and Sloane.

Back to business, I bought one of their Peanut Butter cookies. OMG, real butter, nice and chewy and I hate to say this, better than my Peanut Butter cookies.

Their breads and croissants are beautiful and some are very unusual. They also have lovely baguettes.

Sharon, I stopped there this morning for the first time. I agree the bakery was
beautiful. I brought home a croissant, a scone, 2 peanut butter and 2 chocolate
chip cookies. Rewards for my hard working younger children! It was all wonderful.
The dining room looks inviting and the people were very friendly.
I love local businesses, they make Lakewood such a special place.
