Is it me or does anyone else out there find it frustrating that the Administration is now dealing with a possible epidemic with no head of Health and Human Services and no Surgeon General.

Could someone please kick congress in the behind.

It seems to me that there is a several month gap between a president getting elected and taking office. More than enough time to sort through his appointees.

This is rediculous.

New rule I'd like to see...

All presidential candidates must submit a public list of all nominees no later than one month prior to the election.

Once elected, Congress has until the date of swearing in to either confirm or deny the initial nominee.

Seems to me, that we might want our new president to hit the ground running when he first takes office.

the flu should be allowed to run its course. This will help our immune systems gear up to compete with the global diseases of the global future.

the Surgeon General doesn't really matter. all the agencies the Surgeon General could possibly order to do something are presumably already staffed with some kind of managers and higher ups.
