Vincent Weiguang hacked fellow greyhound bus passenger Tim McLean to death.

Justice John Scurfield determined Vincent Weiguang was not guilty by reason of insanity.

The prosecution's only witness was some egghead who was not even at the murder event.

The other passengers must not have been credible witnesses. Unless they used affidavits. or something.

The judge did not have any stationary that had an option reading, "Guilty and also insane". it will take years to get that onto the stationary.

One of the quotes: ..."And if someone doesn't know what they're doing is wrong, we don't punish them."...

Locking up a schizophrenic is just as much "punishment" as killing them. A lifetime of grueling paranoia offset by snowing them with a lifetime of drugs is not humane. Let them go. Nature does not always wire everything correctly. When humans die, other humans are supposed to be smart enough to help. Just sayin'.

Just to be clear after I re-read this. When I said let them go, I mean humane euthanasia.

I'm sorry but I take great offense with you using the term snowing them with a lifetime of drugs. There are people that are mentally ill that live productive lives while properly medicated. Psychiatric medication is not a death sentence it is a gift.

Sorry for the offense. I was referring to the criminally insane. People who chop off heads on busses.
