I hear rumors again about Marty. At this point, I would take that for the stability and leadership factor. He's not a long term answer so grooming a replacement is very important. Maybe his son, Brian.
With that said, if Mike Singletary doesn't stay in SF I would jump on him in a heartbeat!
Beyond that, it's really hard to say. They need someone with a big presence, with or without experience. The last three hires were doomed to fail for a variety of reasons. Not the least of which is they aren't NFL head coaches.

Cowher!!! OMG I might then actually watch a browns game and not laugh at them!!! Sorry but I am a Steelers girl!!!!
At this point though, I think I could be a better coach than what the browns have.

Why stop with the coach? My daughter is pretty good at catching footballs thrown right into her hands. Just saying.

It is obvious
George W. Bush
Scores do not even matter.
Re-write each season at the end of the year.

Admit it Jim......you have a man-crush on Bush
How else can you explain mentioning Bush in a topic not even remotely close to politics?

Charlie/Stephen
Man-crush, I have never heard of this. It must be some hardcore Republican term. Can't bring yourself to use the term love and man in the same sentence so you do this "man-crush" thing.
But nope, no "man-crush," no love.
As I watch the Republicans desperately trying to work the spin on the worst president of all time it became painfully obvious. Why care about scores or facts, just re-write the entire season at the end of the year.
At least 47% of the sheep will believe it. I mean if they already believe it was justified killing 250,000 innocent Iraqis because of their complete non-involvement in 9-11. I figure they can get some people to believe anything. If you can't win and obviously the Browns can't, it would seem the only answer left.
As for the connection, you two silly boys forget that George has a long rich history with sports teams. He was part owner of the Texas Rangers, so he has a rich wonderful history of running very successful sports teams. In his very successful career as a private businessman, this was one of the high points. (See the re-write of his history is already working.)
Now you two can go back to your secret world of "man-crushes" or come out.

(eisel told me the secret is put a smiley at the end)
