Credit card companies that handed out credit cards to people sleeping under bridges will be able to get their money back.

If we are going to bailout credit card companies how can you say no to cities, states, auto companies, home owners, public pension plans? I hope our elected representatives are getting in line.

This is going to be so cool! Not only do you not have to pay your mortgage you don't have to pay your credit card bills!!!

I think our little company should establish a pension plan that we will deliberately underfund. When I'm ready to retire I'll just send Uncle Sugar the bill. This is going to be so cool!!

it is just a coincidence that so many of these big bankers leaned Republican for so long. I'm sorry...some of them identify as "libertarians".

As for the crash. In the post-industrial economy building sprawl and pushing big box shopping were pretty much the only games in town. Without them a severe number of people would have been unemployed all this time, instead of recently and in the near future. Maybe it is time to ease tariffs back up to 45 percent, and for 15 percent of the population to live on modest sized farms.
