independents and libertarians)

The election is over and it is time to teach our fellow Democrats a lesson or two in humanity. I did not vote for Obama. But, I refuse to let this cycle of political hate live on this country. Obama is our President elect. And, he does deserve a show of faith from all of us (the above mentioned). Replicating the last 8 years of intolerance will not bring this country any progress. We are facing some tough times and must all come together. I am not suggesting that anyone give up their 1st Amendment right. I am just suggesting that we (republicans, independents and libertarians) all show the world our true colors. We all know what we are capable of doing...Let's do it..

On the way into work this morning listening to the radio, there was an interview with a 16yr old, and paraphrasing "Obama will make mistakes, but he'll surround himself with people who will correct him"

I like the sentiment - and I hope that the message in Stephen's post will last at least a couple of years - when are the next elections?

I heard a clip from Rush L's show seemingly in direct opposition to the conciliatory tone of McCain's concession speech, but I hope that at least on the OD inflammatory rhetoric can be held in check - at least until the next election cycle.

Oh thank you. The liberal democrats so desperately need this.

Richard

It has been full flame on from the Heritage Foundation and others on the right,
that is until Stephen offered the lessons on humanity and humility.

Gary, where is that banjo.

Stephen - We can skate by thank you.

I do want to tell you though, you are now busted.

Who would have thought that you can actually write?

While I might not agree with some of your statement, I do think that now we will no longer accept the posting of YouTube videos as your personal best.

The time for the "clicky" is over. They are a great little enhancement, but are not a true expression of a person's thought's.

Please keep writing and keep your "clicky's" for your own enjoyment.

Well, Stephen, there’s nothing like stating “it is time to teach our fellow Democrats a lesson or two in humanityâ€

Mr. Beck, a longtime radio host who joined CNN in May 2006, delivers his political and cultural monologues and conducts his interviews in a humorous, populist style. His defection is a serious loss for Headline News, which has seen its ratings soar since it replaced hourly news updates with opinionated hosts in prime time.

Stephen -

My comments regarding Rush was in reference Richard Cole's post.

I listen to Rush when I'm out and about during work. He seemed to come to an epiphany on Wednesday realizing that conservatives were/are a minority within the GOP.

However, looking forward, Romney really staked his claim to be GOP right wing champion at their past convention. If we thought Obama v. McCain was a choice between left and right, wait until Obama v. Romney 2012 (or Huckaby for that matter).

As for Glen Beck in the a.m., well, thanks for the suggestion but I'll stick with Diane Rehm.
