McCain's Consession Speech

I was impressed, after the all the negative campaigning, with McCain's concession speech. It's a shame that those handling his campaign didn't allow this side of him to be more prominent. It reminded me of the McCain who ran against Bush, the McCain many people thought would be a reformer. If this is the way his campaign had been run from the beginning of this year he might have had a better showing.
The man bowed out with dignity and he should be respected for that.

That's the McCain I remember. He should have stayed true to himself.

Steve--- That was a truly exceptional speech. It was the man who ran in 2000-- a committed American.
Let's let the political technicians and operatives dissect the tactics and leave us with the memory of a very honorable man in John McCain.

That spech...well that was just amazing. He made me cry, made me laugh (not at him..just chuckle a bit because I remembered him on SNL), and made me adore him. I will be honest, I did like McCain, I liked him and studied him. Palin was not a good choice and that is what changed my mind. But that speech was amazing. He was a true hero last night, and I just want to reach out and hug him. He deserves so much respect!!! And no matter what I have said in the past, I did like McCain.

Great speech.
The Obama supporters at Sullivan's applauded several times throughout the speech.

After a long day and night as working as a Poll Observer in East Cleveland, I came home just in time to catch Sen. McCain's concession speech, it truly was a gracious speech and one that I thought spoke to all the Obama supportors as well as the McCain supporters. To show the world that we can have political disagreements on how to run the government, but yet be able to change our leadership without violence and bloodshed.
That is the hope we can all believe in.
Congratulations to President - Elect Obama and all the supporters who worked hard to make it happen. Job well Done!
