Trakas Endorsement in PD

To Members of the "I love Denny" Fan Club

No reaction / thoughts to today's PD endorsement of Trakas ?

2nd sentence : "The first page said it all: Kucinich "won passage of two bills signed into law" One was the innocuous measure to support education related to the Underground Railroad . The second renamed a Post Office ."

Two more years and two more bills of his passed . What a legislator ! Just wait until the economic ramifacations of these bills save the region . And it only cost us only another $345,000 for his salary ( health care , travel perks etc not included ) and $2,000,000 for his Lakewood/Parma offices for the past two years .

Was A Joke , Is a Joke and will continue to be a Joke for District 10 until either Trakas or the 2000 Census removes this problem .

Dennis

How strange that you of all people would call in a little attack against Congressman Kucinich from Parma this morning.

I don't really place much credence in a paper that will be out of business in a few months or opinions of the clinically inane.

Truly a collection of pathetic comments re denny or PD/LO

Devito- LO adm admits to "the mighty widsdom of PD" Truth at Last (Least)

JOB : As always - Citing the Truth or news is by JOB definition an Attack

Kinsella : Circulation PD Daily 783,000 Sun 1,028,900 vs LO 15,000 per 2 weeks .
Only 3/4 Cuy County Adults read/purchase on daily/weekly basis and 7/8 purchase/read each month. so you are in a minimal minority
Also hard to get "current" weather / sports/ business / coming events / movies etc from LO or Sun considering their weekly or 2 week publishing basis but to each their own ..

Hoffert : PUT your money where your mouth is - Send JOB $100 or more check made out to him and I will match your amount with similar check , re your claim PD ( or is it LO?) out of business in a few months . Come Jan 26 , 2009 JOB will decide if PD is still in Business , cash ours and then issue his 2x check to one of us . Agree ? - If so reply to this posting
PUT UP OR SHUT UP or will you just slink away ?

The PD is in very deep trouble. I have many friends that work there, so I wish it were not true.

This endorsement will help Trakas just as much as it helped Cimperman.

The Trakas campaign is DOA, and everyone knows it.

Very True.

Dennis. Why the hate? Bit harsh don't you think? Perhaps I am missing some backround.

Why must I bet on my own opinion? The PD has raised its price, cut its staff, the classified section is a third of what it used to be further reducing its revenue. Its obvious, large newspapers are less profitable then ever. Maybe people are awakening and seeing that the majority of the media is controlled by very few individuals is just plain wrong. When a paper cuts its own staff and relies upon external propaganda sources its the end.

I'm sorry your apparent seething hatred for Dennis has clouded your judgment so profoundly.

Kempe - Your choice to read that rag.

I don't and won't. When's the last time you read Huffington Post, Wall Street Journal, Mother Jones, Rolling Stone, Village Voice, Ms. Magazine, Washington Post, NYT?

You keep your sources and I'll keep mind and I'lll get to November 4th before ya.

Dennis

As you have to pipe your slurry in from Parma, you miss many of the dynamics of Life in da Wood.

We woul;d hop that the Cleveland Plain Dealer does not go out of business. While it is on the lips of many, including many of the past Cleveland Plain Dealer employees that now work with various Observer projects, we need the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Wow, I thought we were not holding out own over regional papers. I guess we are. Can I add in the other Observers?

One other big difference, though many think it is a trick.

The Lakewood Observer would never back a candidate. As a community paper we would rather let the politicians put it out there and let the people decide how it affects their lives. After all, I like the fact that Congressman Kucinich calls Lakewood his second home, that he has fought once again to keep the social Security office here, and brought 160 jobs to Lakewood in this downturn economy.

I like the fact the Congressman Kucinich, spends many an afternoon walking around Lakewood, taking in lunch at one of many Vegan places on Detroit and Madison.

I like the fact that Congressman Kucinich, fights the fight for Lakewood and everyone in the 10th District to Washington. I love the fact that when Congressman Kucinich runs for president, bringing the needs of us common folk to the nation, and shows the world that the 10th District is open minded, loving, looks to peace and fair commerce, but not at the cost of those in need. I love the fact that Congressman Kucinich is one of a handfull that is trying to keep America to the promises we made our veterans. To fight for quick and good health care and benefits. That we must never let our vets suffer after giving their time, effort, and lives to the freedom of this country.

I really like the fact that Congressman Kucinich carries a pocket copy of the Constitution and Amendments in his top pocket, always. That he can quote it, explain it, while he fights for it. The fact that is is signed by Senator Robert Byrd just makes it that much more special.

I like the fact that when walking Lakewood, Tremont, Slavik Village, and on and on that residents come out and greet him with a smile, and he always has time to listen, take notes, and follow up with their needs.

I love the fact the he married Elizabeth. A woman that brings much to his life and ours. Her background in banking, and currency is serving him very well right now, and when he called the Federal Reserve to task two years ago over funding, banks with Sub-Prime loans, and asking for a congressional inquiry. I also love the fact that he instantly said, we must work it from the home owners back, not from the top down. We must protect the home owner now and that will secure the banks.

But you must agree Dr. Kampe, that one of the things we all love Congressman Kucinich for is his stance against the War in Iraq. Had we listened to Congressman Kucinich the country would be $1 trillion dollars ahead, possibly $5 Trillion, we would be more secure, we would not have lost 4,000+ American lives, while destroying another 10,000+ America lives, while committing what could be perceived as mass murder against Iraqi civilians. That there would have been no torture, no loss of standing in the rest of the world.

Actually, he would have kept the Constitution alive, and stopped us for declaring a war against a country that had never attacked us. Ever!

Why do you hate Congressman Kucinich?

Or the media project that lets you spew your hate?

i'll concur that the Plain Dealer does not like Dennis. Many of the complaints about him are true. The biggest complaint that Ms. Ferris made (no relation) was that he hasn't brought home the bacon for NE Ohio. And right now - we really need that bacon.

It is true he doesn't compromise and play well with others. It is true that the main stream media tried to make him a joke when he ran for president.

But regardless of the PD and the National Main Stream media, This district loves him and continues to overwhelmingly put him back into office.

I agree with what JOB said above. But for me, the reason I keep voting for him, is that he is a man of principal. We need people like that in congress to keep the other congressman doing there job. We need a person who cares about peace there. We need a person that cares about Single Payer Health Care. We need a person that is talking about the environment and about equal pay for equal work and about the rights of gay people to marry. We need that balance. We need a person in congress who isn't afraid to be called a liberal.

By the way, I also think we need the other side represented as well.

But Dennis is doing a good job articulating the Liberal agenda. Maybe better than most. His speech at the Democratic convention Wake Up America was electrifiying.

So it really doesn't matter what the PD says or anyone else. Dennis will get reelected and will continue to be the strong Liberal Voice in Congress I believe for years to come.
