FOX News reports on the controversial cover?

Andrea Tantarros, who is a Republican Media Consultant says "It's a slap in a face to Sarah Palin, why? because it's un-retouched. it highlights every imperfection that every human being has..but we're talking unwanted facial hair, pores, wrinkles......"

Well she goes on and on about this slap in the face.

You know, Sarah Palin is at fault with this. If she remembered to shave her mustache the morning of the shoot, we wouldn't have angry airhead media consultants ranting about the leftist liberal media. It's not that the media is elitist and leftist, it's that even the media doesn't want four or eight more years of the same.

People actually use these morons as a news source?

Here's a photo of a newsweek cover with Barack Obama on it. I can see lot of imperfections, oh no!


But apparently, this cover of Newsweek isn't a slap in the face to all women.

I got my copy in the mail today. Facial hair is definitely visible!

I know, shame on me. I mean the economy is tanking, the housing market is in shambles, people are worrying about their retirement accounts but really the issue on everyone's mind is that Sarah Palin doesn't look quite so pretty on the cover of Newsweek. It's insulting to the American public that this is seen as an issue.

Sorry about my attitude but frankly I am annoyed that real issues keep getting dodged for stuff like this.

How is this a double standard? I don't really care how my leaders look. I don't care if they are ugly or pretty. I don't care if they have wrinkles or scars. I care about how they will lead. Why are they whining about this? Are looks really that important to the McCain camp? Was Palin picked because she is pretty? Are they upset because she took a bad picture? How does this affect "Joe Sixpack"? Seriously I am curious, why should her looks matter to me?

back in the old spider-man comics sometimes a woman super-villain would show up. spidey wouldn't hit her, because she was a girl.

It is hard to criticize a female presidential candidate. It would be easier if she had really short hair and tattoos, or hailed from a state that has to confront many more modern problems than Alaska does.
