John McCain suspends his campaign to fix the problems with the bailout. He goes so far in suspending the campaign, that they issues orders to everyone on how they should campaign during the suspension in the campaign!

Suspends interviews and talks of suspending the debate. Then after taking a day to do interviews, he stays in New York, and arrives in Washington late. So late there is already an agreement. He then makes a brief appearance, talking to only a small handful of Republicans, then leaves to practice for the debate. There he stays in touch by phone, and is rumored to have called some Democrats, though only Joe Liberman actually remembers the call. When he gets to the debate, he goes into great detail on saved the bailout. Though it was not done.

The next day he leaves on the campaign trail, and knocks Obama for keeping in touch by phone. Makes fun of him for not suspending his campaign, while he is campaigning!

This is not the talk or work of a stable person.

not a very good week for McCain.

he certainly didn't do anything to push an image of leadership. To me, he kind of looked like a dog circling the rug before he lays down. McCain didn't seem to sure as to where he needed to be or what he needed to do.

I think he wanted to come across as Presidential, but in my opinion, he missed the mark.

That said, I'm not sure Obama really did anything to help his cause either. He just didn't do anything to damage it.

Perhaps in candidacy, it's better to do nothing well than do anything poorly.
