Has Sarah Palin Gone Viral?

Barack Obama's path to victory in the Democratic party's primary campaign was a viral phenomenom.
In the interent age going viral is defined as the ability of an idea (or in this case a person) to replicate itself (in this case support for his candidacy among the general population). See this:

Has Sarah Palin gone viral? Is her viralization the cause of the revitalization of John McCain's campaign? See this from the Las Vegas Sun:

My best guess is that Palin's viralization of the electorate will continue to election day propelling John McCain to a substantial victory. Perhaps substantial enough for the Republicans to recapture the house of representatives.
