RNC Reality Check

OK

I had made a comment about the RNC not wanting GWB our current president, and in theory head of the Republican Party at the convention.

I was told that GWB was needed in Louisiana to "head up" hurricane relief, when in fact he was in Texas shaking hands and back in Washington.

We watched the RNC call for help for Louisiana, and the first two days were a telethon for hurricane relief when in fact it was nothing more than a bad storm.

Now Texas is getting devastated, GWB home state, and GWB is not there "heading up" hurricane relief. There is no call for help from the McCains, the Palins, the Bushes. Guess they only care when it suits their political needs.

This would seem to underline all previous thoughts that the Republican Party is running away from GWB so fast, they only have time for their on hypocritical banter as they run.

Lakewood members, time for a reality check.

Not sure,

Are you talking about the ones that didn't fail in the heavy rainstorm in Louisiana or, the ones getting destroyed in Houston?

Stephen

A couple words for you

Embarrassment

Repudiate

Cacodemon

One fact was as the week built up and the RNC saw their chance, they took it. Dump GWB, he is not like or appreciated by a majority of America. The spin was "Hurricane." And as the RNC rolled out they used it to great advantage on day one and day two. However, the day before it ceased being a story. Day one and two many of our members could not be with us. Infact, no one left. Because, in this world we have cell phones. THE ONLY reason for a president or any elected official to hang out with FEMA is photo ops.

Yeah Republicans own God, and he gave them a heavy rainstorm for just as long as they needed to care.

Not until McCain gets elected.

Seriously

I heard something on the scanner last night in Bay Village.

Wasn't really looting, just a break-in.

Too bad the knowledgeable people who predicted the storm could be worse than Katrina didn't have the benefit of your keen hindsight.

Maybe there are less "victims" in Texas and they can handle things without someone holding their hand.

It sure was interesting when Iowa was under water and yet you didn't have groups screaming at Bush for more help.

I guess some areas of this country are more emotionally equipped to handle disasters then others.

The Katrina "victims" were not the victims of George Bush.

They were the victims of the Mayor of New Orleans and the Governor of Louisiana. Both were incapable of managing. They were also the "victims of their own failure to evacuate the City after the mandatory evacuation order was issued.

You don't see the "victimization" mentality in Texas, Mississippi or Florida. That's why people coped so well.

When faced with a challenge some people rise up to the challenge and some sit around waiting for the government to do something. It's a red state blue state state of mind.

Well, this guy still the best president ever?

Still worth 2 terms?

Eight years ago, I mentioned to someone in a forum that they stole the election. The answer was by a member of the Observation Deck, "Why would they steal the election?" Well I think it should be very clear, the largest transfer of money in the history of the world.

Billions borrowed to go to war, as we gave the top 10% a tax break
Those billions spent with military companies that go back to a small
handful of companies like Haliburton, Carlyse, etc. (They are in a blind trust. Give me a break, they also have stock options when they get out)

Energy companies, you know these guys are energy guys, making record profits.

Billions in missing oil profits in Iraq.

Million and million of barrels of oil missing.

Oil tankers missing.

Enron making national energy polices, Americans cannot even see?

Social Security raided

Schools and social services gutted and raided.

Now the tax payer is bailing out millionaires for bad investments
when it would be cheaper to bail out the actual tax payers.

Is this country ever going to wake up and smell the coffee?

Just curious.

I think America is suffering from battered woman syndrome. We just keep coming back for more, when we need to say enough already.

I do not have kids, but I have to think if you do, it must be terrible to look in their eyes and explain that you spent their future, their children's future, the future of their grand children and great grand kids.

But it was spent to... to... to...
