Why?

Why can John McCain take to the stage at the Republican Convention and talk openly about the mistakes made over the last eight years and the desperate need for change. That the economic programs have failed, the war was a mess, we need a change.

And Lakewood Republicans(many) still defend GWB, and the administration their presidential candidate is openly running FROM?

Just curious.

Jim, could you be more specific on the economy? Which economic indicators are you talking about?

Has there ever been a war that was not a mess?

Stephen

I am talking about the Republican Presidential candidate talking to America. At the convention and since. Just yesterday when he was speaking of Unemployment he was speaking of how this Administration had failed and how he would "change."

Then when talking about the mortgage bailout he again spoke of how this administration was asleep at the switch and should have...

I am not talking numbers, I am talking of the Republican candidate's own words.

But in Lakewood you would think GWB was nearly perfect.

Just curious.

Stealing or lying, not a good start for the party.

The lying or stealing does not seem to be impacting his poll numbers. He is now ahead of Obama (Zogby and Gallup)..

Democracy only works with an informed electorate.

There should be a special Election Court. Just as there can be malpractice claims against professionals like doctors and lawyers, politicians and their agents should be held accountable in court for lying. Misinforming and disinforming voters should be considered criminal offenses. It is truly a crime against our democracy. Offenders should be treated as traitors.

As a registered Democrat, I'll even throw one of ours into court first. I'll start with Terry McAuliffe. Now you guys do the right thing and throw in yours.
