Very true.

Take Monster Cable for instance. Their IP/Trademark Holding Company is based in Bermuda. Monster Cable in the US pays licensing fees to the IP Holding Company to manufacture their products. Because they're based in Bermuda, they don't have to pay taxes.

They recently tried to sue Blue Jeans Cable over alleged patent infringement. Little did they know that the owner of BJC is an ex-patent lawyer:

Monster has yet to respond to BJC's April 14th response.

That is a major problem with many leaders and leading pundits on the right. They want us to be the global superpower, but they don't want to pay for it. If they advocated high progressive income taxes, higher corporate income taxes, and higher capital gains taxes like Eisenhower did in the 1950s, I could take them seriously. As for now, they are on my List of People Who Don't Matter.

Ronald Reagan said it was morning in America. He actually inaugurated the drunk credit card binge in America. The Morning Hangover hasn't quite started yet.
