In my opinion, the only way to throw away your vote is to NOT cast it.
If you truly believe that a third party candidate is the right choice, then why wouldn't you vote for that person?

I think any educated vote is worth it.
IMHO, an educated voter voting for a 3rd party has a more worthy vote than an undeducated voter voting for one of the dominant parties.
Of course the worst, as Bret pointed out, are people that don't vote at all. That truly is a waste.

I agree with Bryan. Too many people vote based on whether a candidate has an R or a D after their name without truly comprehending what that candidate stands for. Any person that votes for a candidate that they have researched is casting a responsible vote, whether that be for a republican, a democrat or a third party.
it is true
