Next time I get a subpoena, I'll just say I had a long planed trip to some country with a non-extradition treaty. Yeah that will work well. ;-)

Actually, Mr. DeVito I have been working on several trials (and depositions) throughout my career and the vacation issue has come up and the courts tended to work around it.

The witness did have to provide proof that a trip was planned and that it was done long before the subpeonas were issued.

So it does happen, not often but it does.

And Tim, Thanks for your insight. However when the matter is this big and high profile involving wo branches of government it should not be taken lightly.

Mr. rove has most likely net a sizable profit form various evil schemes over the years. I do not find it too absurd to expect him to postpone his vacation and use all his money to take it a day or two later.

While the legality of what he did may be a gray area to be ruled upon later, it does show his true charter . As a man with no regard for the law or the american people. It really is a shame.
