Buckley died yesterday. I always used his arguments as a test of my stands.

As a writer (which I am trying to be) I was enthralled with his books.

Many years ago, I thought if I could be brought back again, I'd like to be a liberal William F. Buckley.

For a conservative, I thought he was UBER COOL.

During my lifetime the conservative movement has degenerated from the dignity of "Firing Line" to the angry rantings of clowns like Bill Cunningham.

Hi,
The man wrote some amazing books on sailing. His words painted a picture of the beauty of ocean sailing that to this day can create a massive case of wanderlust for me.

Rest in Peace, Mr. Buckley and Thank you for your words.

I agree. Not sure what he may have thought of your liberal incarnation part, but he was wise enough to know the difference and not care. :D
Rest in peace Bill.

Newsweek has an interesting cover story about him this week.
