Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who introduced the West to transcendental meditation, died Tuesday at his home in the Dutch town of Vlodrop, a spokesman said. He was thought to be 91 years old.

He has a northeast ohio connection. Some group under him purchased the AquaMarine resort in Avon Lake back in the 90s. I don't know if they still own it. The local Newspaper mentioned their was controversy over whether they would close the steak house there.
