The Hershey Co. defended the move, saying it is more exposed to the rising cost of milk and cocoa than its competitors, which include Mars and Nestle.

I hope they are giving their child laborers a raise. A few percent should go to the cocoa and dairy farmers. I would bet this is about gas prices.

Haven't read about it Dee - Hershey's is moving out of Hershey, Pa. and going to Mexico.

That's a gross overstatement. They did unfortunately shift work out of the US and Canada to Mexico, screwing thousands of workers in the process, but they did not leave Hershey, Pa completely, as you imply. They did close a plant in California, though.

What I meant was they will probably follow with more cuts. They've moved a lot out of Canada and over 650 jobs were slated to moved out of Hershey.
