Germany's Immigration situation
Keep in mind that in this article they're not talking about illegal immigrants. When they refer to "Foreigners" or "Immigrants" the author is talking about legal citizens of the country, whether by passport (which is rare), visa, etc etc.
It's hard to read something like this from my point of view and comment on it because I experienced things first hand. This "Homegrown Intolerance" was alive a decade ago as well. I think it's always been present within the German folk.
When we first settled in Germany, we were warned that "Even though we [families that helped us] might be understanding and willing to help, don't expect anything from our government."
I found this article to be an interesting read regardless of my opinion. Germany keeps things quiet in the international news spectrum but it doesn't mean that there's nothing "brewing" in the country.
