Hi,
Mike Huckabee brags in this video clip about frying squirrels in popcorn poppers during college. See: http://rawstory.com/news/2007/Huckabee_We_used_to_fry_squirrels_0116.html

How sick is this guy?

Does Lakewood have a law protecting our squirrels from hungry hicks?

Vittles!

Actually "victuals"

But....I don't think he was cooking them ALIVE in oil. Just cookin' up a mess o' critters. Squirrels, opposum, rabbits...all that is good country eatin' Not much different than when I used to whip up a spaghetti dinner in my dorm room using a popcorn popper....

Course back then, we didn't have hot air poppers. Wonder how that would work.

He also wants to change the Constitution

The United States Constitution never uses the word "God" or makes mention of any religion, drawing its sole authority from "We the People." However, Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee thinks it's time to put an end to that.

"I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution," Huckabee told a Michigan audience on Monday. "But I believe it's a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living god. And that's what we need to do -- to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards rather than try to change God's standards so it lines up with some contemporary view."

When Willie Geist reported Huckabee's opinion on MSNBC's Morning Joe, co-host Mika Brzezinski was almost speechless, and even Joe Scarborough couldn't immediately find much to say beyond calling it "interesting,"

Scarborough finally suggested that while he believes "evangelicals should be able to talk politics ... some might find that statement very troubling, that we're going to change the Constitution to be in line with the Bible. And that's all I'm going to say."

This is the very definition of unAmerican. Imagine.. a president that wants to actually change us into a theocracy, while we fight theocrats in other countries.

Squirrel Brains May Be Unsafe

http://www.greysquirrel.net/brain.html

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- Squirrel brains are a lip-smacking memory for Janet Norris Gates. They were the choicest morsels of the game her father once hunted in Tennessee. ``In our family, we saw it as a prized piece of meat, and if he shared it with you, you were pretty happy. Not that he was stingy,'' said Mrs. Gates, an oral historian in Frankfort, ``but there's just not much of a squirrel brain.'' Now, some people might want to think twice about eating squirrel brains, a backwoods Southern delicacy.
