I think we have a great group of Democrats running.

Barack Obama - is my son's choice. I've been to his rallys and he is very inspiring. I think he may be our next president.

Hillary Clinton - it would really be cool to have a woman as our president. I have rarely talked to a woman who doesn't feel a little excitement about that. And if she would be like Bill - then it is good. On the down side - I have the idea of a dynasty. She got burned so badly with national health care the first time - I think she has the worst health care plan out there.

John Edwards - this is my brother's choice. He says the right things - but he doesn't inspire me. But he could win Iowa.

Bill Richardson - I really like him. He is smart and has been nominated several times for Nobel Peace Prizes. He is also good on energy.

Dennis Kucinich - I agree with him on most issues. He has the best health care program. I think along with Dr. Paul and Mike Gravel he is one of the few candidates that can pull us out of the war. I don't think he is electable.

Joe Biden - Bright guy - isn't inspiring many voters.

Chris Dodd - Again another man that inspires me. He worked hard to get us out of Vietnam and he stood up for us with FISA. Like Biden - isn't inspiring many votes.

Mike Gravel - strong on getting us out of war. Is he still in the race?

I predict after New Hampshire Biden, Dodd and Gravel will drop out. Richardson may too. Dennis will hang in like he has done before - but the real race will be between Clinton, Obama and Edwards.

I think so much depends on Iowa and New Hampshire.

IMHO, Obama only tends to have very strong support amongst younger voters and Internet users, neither of which has historically turned out to vote, especially in primaries.

It will be interesting to see how this turns out.

I was surprised to see Clinton come in 3rd in the Iowa caucuses.

My vote will go to Edwards. Although I'd prefer a first place finish, at least he came in second in Iowa (albeit a very close second against Clinton.) He still has time to surge ahead.

I'd be OK with Obama, but I prefer Edwards. Hillary, who I think is brilliant, annoys me because it seems as if she thinks she deserves the nomination and will get it.

I would just caution against putting too much stake in the Iowa results. Iowa seems to have a history of picking candidates that don't actually win anywhere else.

It will be interesting to see if Obama and Huckabee can continue to win in the next few primary states.
