Kerik, former NYC police chief facing federal charges

After filing charges with a federal grand jury, the FBI has filed charges against Kerik. Kerik was Chief of Police, appointed by Guilliani in 2000. He was also Guilliani's nominee to be head of Homeland Security.
Kerik recently pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge for accepting over $100,000 in renovations to his NYC apartment by a mob related construction company who received city construction projects. He is now facing numerous charges including failing to report $500,000.00 in income to the IRS and also having an undocumented housekeeper.
