Baggy Pants Crackdown.
Proponents of the crackdown ask if when they see someone walking around with their pants so far down, "does he have a job? Does he have a high school diploma". A better question is, "Is he retarded? Is he developmentally impaired? Is he carrying a gun?"
Proponents of their right to wear baggy pants argue it is Stereotyping to go after people who spend money on clothes that help them be bigger stereotypes. Besides, Plumbers and Construction workers sometimes have pants that don't stay up all the way. Usually it is from having a very flat backside and wearing a heavy tool belt. Hopefully hip hop culture will not embrace carrying around hammers and crowbars and other large hand tools in music videos and on the street.
