That is absolutely fabulous! We need to have a 'Michelle Sikes Day' in Lakewood.
Michelle graduated from Lakewood in 2003. This spring she graduated from Wake Forest. She will study at Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar. Last month she won the NCAA DIVISION I 5000 meters. She has become one of Americas leading female distance runners. She has the goal of representing the United States in the 2008 Summer Olympics. What a wonderful role model for our girls too!
Thanks for posting the news Scott.

I couldn't agree more on having a Michelle Sikes Day.
To become a Rhodes Scholar is an amazing achievement. To become an All American is too. To do both is incredible. To do both and still be a nice sweet girl is almost unbelievable.
But of course, she is from Lakewood.

Pretty amazing young lady. I believe she is going to be at the cross camp. I think I read that someplace. Not positive although I think she is on the staff there.
