An Inconvenient Memory

Just something to share that was sent to me. It's disturbing, however these sound bites are actual quotes and real video. These people said all of it.

I wonder why the mainstream media has not pointed out this memory lapse, because I can remember it very clearly. The media has had every opportunity; as they have the recordings and the video, yet choose to pretend that GW Bush alone is solely responsible for going to Iraq.

GWB is not a likable guy for half the country and probably plenty of others in conservative circles who realize his style is irritating. He is called a liar all the time by the left - and I'll admit I'm not smart enough to know when he has or hasn't or why.... not the point of this link.

With all the finger-pointing about going after Iraq (for ignoring 17 U.N. resolutions), it is only honest for the Democrats to take SOME credit for contributing to the fervor on WMD - fully two years before Bush got elected.
I don't see it...and I bet there are many excuses that are acceptable for them to utter those words, but not the same for anyone else.

Nowadays, you'd swear leading Dems were holier-than-thou and had nothing to do with getting over there. Therefore it's not "their" war, so clearly we have to leave Iraq to appease those who find the whole thing unseemly. My goodness we are in someone else's civil war, etc. Ever wonder why such a war would be named civil and not revolutionary? Another subject -and not the central point here.

I don't have the answer. But just once, I'd like the players on the left to take some responsibility for SOMETHING that is going on, instead of the constant criticism that points away from themselves.

When you hear all the righteous rhetoric from Nancy or Harry, it's also diligent to remember their own words once were very passionate for going there. It's an inconvenient memory for sure.

What a surprising use of a Traffic song.

Some of those quotes were presented out of context. I'm not sure what the purpose was for making that video. If it was made by pro-Republicans the most they are saying is, "The Republicans were stupid for going to Iraq, but Democrats are stupid too because they agreed with them".

I liked the clip of Howard Dean saying he doesn't know of China is an international bad guy. I'm pretty sure they meet most criteria, but the important thing is enough Americans are getting rich off them.

Iraq was generally no worse than Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAEs, Rangoon, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Belarus, South Africa, etc. It's all about where the spot lights are shining.

This most recent Iraq war has demonstrated you don't need to worry about special weapons of mass destruction. Because conventional weapons do the job just as well.

Still, the Democrats don't have anyone chasing the nomination who impresses me. I'll end up voting for Giuliani or writing in Ross Perot again.
