Hi. What does the therapy include? Does your center also do Reiki for animals? I know of a vet who uses Reiki on the animals and her surgery rate is much lower than other vets! Thanks

This is human pet therapy, not therapy for pets. We use pets to help increase the quality of life for people in extended care, nursing homes, children with cancer, etc. It is well documented that people are generally happier when they have interaction with animals, and happier people also have a tendency to live longer and recover faster. For some individuals with out-of-town relatives these are the only regular visits they receive.
There is also a program called "Children Reading to Dogs" that helps the children build confidence in their reading skills.
