OK, Lakewood. Forget global warming and terrorism. It's time to address our greatest national crisis.
What is your theory about Sanjaya?
Are you voting for him just to stick it to American Idol?
Are you hoping Simon quits?
Do you think he can win?
What's the deal?
And please don't give me the pompous "I don't watch" stuff....

He's there for the girl audience ages 5 to 22.
his blandness is appropriate to todays market.
All the chicks knew George Michael was gay in the 80s, even the super models in his videos.
Sanjaya combines the blandness of Frankie Avalon with the 80s appeal of George Michael. Cosmetically he resembles the anime styles popular in childrens programming.

So maybe he should run for political office?

It will be interesting to see if Stern and "Vote for the Worst" can take him to the top.

I don't get the hoopla. The kid is a decent singer, but lacked confidence in his first few outings (no pun intended). He's actually getting better as the season progresses, and he's certainly better than Kevin Covais was.
now i remember

Now I remember. Sanjaya reminds of of that Cassidy brother in the 70s Hardy Boys show. For some reason they would always interrupt their crime solving to let him sing a song.

I caught the last ten minutes of the show, recapping segments of everyone's performances. Sanjaya's hair gets shorter with each episode. soon he will be out of hair.
It was Latin America theme yesterday. I was hoping Sanjaya would try to sneak a Calypso song in. a bawdy version of "ugly woman" by Roaring Lion would have really blown the roof off the place.
he is gone now

He has been voted off the island.
Now is a good time for him to star in a remake of the 70s tv version of of The Hardy Boys.
They can save money by following the old scripts exactly, only filming every scene at the Mall of America.

So, now that Sanjaya is gone, who do you think will win?
I like the 3 divas. Melinda is my favorite consistently, but Lakisha and Jordin are great too - Jordin last week with Broken Wing was amazing.
