Wild guess, but thinking the name Highland on there puts it on Highland Ave/W.117th somewhere. That's as close as I can come right now.
Here some questions aka Wood Trivia for you. Where was the movie theater on Madison Ave, what was it called, and where was the Lincoln Theater?

Rhonda,
You beat me to the punch with your photo idea! I'd thought about putting a "where is this in Lakewood?" photo in the paper each week, but I think you are on a roll. Why don't you do it instead?
It's fun to figure these out on the "deck", but I'll bet our regular paper-readers would like to figure them out too.
I would guess, along with Mark, that this photo was taken on Highland Road (the one Clevelanders call w117th)
Mark, the movie theater on Madison was over there across from the Beer Engine. I think that you can still see its finials and yes, that was the Lincoln. I do not know whether the theater is still behind the walls of the facade.
Another Lakewood theater was the Homestead on Detroit near w117th. It is still around as a building.

Welll...
Mark, Gary is right! The movie theater on Madison was across from the Beer Engine. And you can still see the finials. As a matter of fact, the theater is still in there. All is left if the projection booth though.
The seating was filled in to make a flat floor. There was a tee shirt printing factory in there the last time my husband and I were in there about 3 years ago.
As for the picture...you guys still need to keep guessing. It is not on 117th. It is near it but not one it.
Keep trying!

Ahaa. The Homested Theater was where the Phantasy is. Still need the name of the one that was across from the Beer Engine.
There was yet another 2 theaters in Lakewood, besides the Hilliard, during my mother's childhood.
One where the Dollar Store and that little modern strip is on the east end of Madison and one more on Detroit and Lincoln.

Can I get in on showing a picture? Last night we took a ride around some areas of Lakewood, and I'll bet we all haven't seen the forest because of the trees in the way.
Or at least many of us, me included.
