David--- Great shots there! In the same vein, I was chatting with Mike Summers the other day. Each of us has about 50 years in Lakewood. Mike said "you know what still amazes me about Lakewood? I'll be traveling down a street and see a house or building and think, I've never seen that before!"
And, he's right. So many things, especially the churches, still amaze me when I go through Lakewood.

Agreed. I thought I knew every nook and cranny of Lakewood. Every so often I still find an alley or building, church or something or other that's been here 100 yrs give or take, and it amazes me that I never noticed it before.

Rhonda-
I'm probably very wrong, but I think I spent some time there, as did many others of a certain age-range. LHS?

Tough one. Not enough of a picture for me, since I don't really study the details of many buildings but I'd say either Lakewood High, the old building, or there is a building on Detroit, near W.117th south side of the street ...but I'm inclined to say Lakewood High. If I'm right, do I get the Ghoulardi T-shirt or the orange ball for my radio antenna ?

Your all wrong!
Think Rocky Horror Picture Show...(from what I heard...I did not live here then).

Hilliard Theatre or else the bowling alley on that triangle?

Doug has to be right. The former Westwood Theater (or the Hilliard Theater, depending) was the only place in Lakewood showing Rocky Horror.

Your all right..except Suzie Dean emailed me first! No prizes just bragging rights.
The photo was taken on the front side of the Hilliard Theater. Just stand in front of it and look up!

You do realize that now I'm going around our city looking up. Installing push-bars on the front bumper of my car real soon.
I used to not only go the the "Hilliard" when I was a kid, but used to go to the Westwood often, when it was an art theater, showing independents, Fellini movies and the like. Now I have to go back and take a look at the upper part of that building.
