Sneak peak for board users.

In the next edition of the paper we will be announcing two new features at The Lakewood Observer website. Both on the front page FOR NOW.

Restaurant Reviews Front page left menu bar.
An easy to use way to review any and all places serving food in Lakewood, or surrounding areas. We have found that restaurants are opinion faster than we can revue them. At the same time the office has gotten many notes mentioning that we had a place all wrong when we revue them. This will support unlimited reviews of the same restaurants. So now anyone can review a restaurant, and maybe win! We will be choosing one review every issue, and publish it in the paper, and PAY FOR THAT MEAL. You do not need to be a member of the Observation Deck or Member Center to review. (only the publisher is excluded from winning)

These review will then tie in to the restaurants listen in LO's Lakewood Shopping Experience Directory.

Eventually, we will have this for all Lakewood businesses as a form of Angie's List. Ours is slated to be called Chris' List as Chris Trapp was the person that suggested it.

Daily Straw Poll Front page under galleries right side.
This was developed at the request of our Political Editor, Tom Powell Bullock as a quick easy way to get a feel for how Lakewoodites think on a variety of issues. Politics, Economic Development, Schools, City Hall, the Rec Department, entertainment and even the Observer will be subjected to the thoughts of Lakewoodites. You do not need to be a member of the Observation Deck or Member Center to take part. If you have any suggestions for questions please send them in through the suggestion box.

As I always mention this is just another update as we continue to try to answer and fill the needs of people that have offered suggestions. The Lakewood Observer project will never rest on our laurels. Next month we have more new features coming that will propel this project even farther into the national scene, and help Lakewood develop its brand and define ourselves.

This will be a fun year.

out of curiousity, will the personal info you ask in the reviewing template (address, phone number, email, etc.) show up in the review that's posted in the Observation Deck?

Only in restaurant reviews will the name show up.

The Lakewood Observer has a no sell no share policy with ANY personal information gathered. We do not sell lists or share them. We do not track or read cookies. We respect those that respect our process. As you might have noticed, we rarely even send out mass emails out of respect to our members and the amount of mail most receive. At the same time we must honor our one name one vote/taking ownership of our thoughts and comments.

I hope that answered your question.
