LO_21_05 On The Streets And Online Focus On Government, And Fun

Is the Lakewood Observer, a true Citizen Journalism Project, filled with government over-reach and schemes? Or is it a Citizen Journalism Project filled with great news about government, schools, the arts, parks, non-profits and community?
Actually, it has been both since day one over twenty years ago, when the residents of Lakewood wanted and needed a journalism project not run or controlled by corporations either for profit or non-profit. Lakewood had learned in the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s, that corporate owned and controlled media never cared about Lakewoodites, all they cared about were their funding agents.
So with that intro I proudly present Lakewood Observer Volume 21, Issue 5.
Once again, all sides in almost every discussion have come together, peacefully. Working together to get out needed information about events, projects, and possible fun.
In a city that has been in various civil wars since Sinagra Plaza, errrrr Marc’s Plaza, errrrrr City Center Plaza the Lakewood Observer has made it our mission to get all sides to the table.
