Lakewood Observer Volume 20 Issue 8 On The Streets And Online Eclipse Special
Posted: Thu Apr 18, 2024 9:08 am

What a couple weeks it has been in Lakewood. Not just our usual potpourri events offered by the schools, non-profits, and City Hall, but a whole host of other things topped off by a full eclipse of the sun! An event that will not happen for another 440 years in Lakewood. Hope you all saw it.
As many people have said, rarely do things live up to the hype. This was even more amazing.
To commemorate this special occasion we present the first of many pull-out posters to come. The Lakewood Observer has been blessed with many amazing pieces of art, cartoons and photos over the years, by some of Lakewood’s finest artist and photographers. Based on the number of requests over the years this should become another favorite section of the community-run Lakewood Observer—a community paper so unique and newsworthy that it, along with its 8,000+ contributors, are in the Journalism Hall of Fame!
Isn’t it time you sat down and shared your story, observations and images with the community? Isn’t it time to commit those priceless images and memories to Lakewood’s longest running printed/digital record of life in Lakewood?
It’s easy and free, just go to http://www.lakewoodobserver.com and click on the “Members” section to sign up.
To get your FREE Souvenir Poster of the Eclipse, stop by at more than one hundred businesses and large apartment buildings and pick one up.
Or you can get the digital version online.
