I have decided to not vote this year.

It is true nearly any mainstream DNC candidate would have beaten Trump in 2020. So the powerbrokers at the DNC put up the weakest ticket they could get away with.

I will consider voting voting this year if Biden picks a decent running mate. Some one like Sherrod Brown or someone decent from the Midwest or rust belt. This is with the understanding that he will die or resign shortly after beginning a second term.

I had joked to one of my friends that I would only vote for Trump if he chose J.D. Vance as a running mate, and only vote for Biden if he chose Sherrod Brown as a running mate. Unfortunately, I was right.

The suburbs and sticks have a lot of Trump supporters that generally rely on the democrats to bail out their union pensions.
I do not know how reliable the republicans will be for future pension bailouts. But apparently Trump had demonstrated better communication skills in the last campaign.
