A statement from Daniel Budish and Betsy Figgie, co-founders of Studio West 117 regarding last night's deadly shooting in Colorado Springs at Club Q.

"Our hearts are broken today for the loved ones of the five people killed last night at Club Q in Colorado Springs and for the 18 people wounded. It is a gut-wrenching and unthinkable tragedy for the LGBTQ+ community there, here in Cleveland and everywhere. The hateful targeting of LGBTQ+ people is abhorrent and must be addressed in a meaningful way so nothing like this ever happens again. Every human being deserves to feel safe to be who they are every day and in every space.

We encourage those in need of support at this time to contact our partner Grow Well Cleveland at (216) 282-3838 "

Haven't been there yet, but I'm wondering what security measures are currently in place

Amy I asked Daniel Budish your question and here is his answer.

"Yes we have 24 hour monitoring of the site in addition to plainclothes security personnel at our events. City of Lakewood police perform frequent rounds of the site. We have a security consultation being performed this evening to recommend any further measures and have reached out to homeland security and FBI for any additional assistance that they might be able to provide"
