It was an unexpected sight.

Four individuals riding micro-mobility devices on Kenneth Drive as I came home last night.

Yes, this can be safe. --With proper equipment.

These individuals were fully suited-up with full "daft-punk" style helmets and padded black garments.

There was nothing casual about this. It was serious business. --And these folks appeared to know what they were doing.

But, now get this, the leader on his rather ridiculous e-skateboard was followed by riders on what I can only describe as powered unicycles.

I'm serious, this is not satire.

But, it was indeed surreal...

Sometimes the Future arrives when you least expect it.

I've been meaning to post. I saw the four scooter/unicycle riders last Thursday, they were eastbount on Lake around 6:00 PM while I was finishing my ride, westbound. I didn't notice the attire so much as one of the large powered unicycles, the middle wheel had to be 12" or maybe even 14". I'm not sure I have the balance left to ride one. They were a hoot and they were out there where they could be seen. I was glad to see them.
