Charges Filed In Marine Tower West Garage Collapse

We learned this afternoon that Lakewood has filed charges against the owner, and the management company of Marine Towers West.
Also charged was Atlas Masonry, the construction company that had been working in the garage.
The criminal complaints were filed in Lakewood Municipal Court for failing to secure a work permit prior to the actual start of the work.
It’s a fourth-degree misdemeanor.
The management company Burton Carol Management welcomes the investigation and would prefer to wait until the conclusion to make a statement.
