Selena Colon sentenced today

Today Judge John Sutula sentenced Selena Colon to a total of 18 years in prison for causing the crash that took the lives of Max Close and Alejandro Mercado. Her license has been suspended for life.
Colon pled guilty in August to aggravated vehicular homicide, aggravated vehicular assault, and driving while under the influence.
“Any sentence I impose does not devalue the lives of Max and Alejandro, nor does it enhance it. That’s not the basis of their lives,” Judge Sutula said.
