New Superintendent To Be Announced Tomorrow

Lakewood Schools have been looking for a Superintendent since Dr. Michael Barnes announced he was leaving Lakewood to go back home and be the Superintendent of Mayfield Schools.
It is believed that the new Superintendent will come from within this time.
This means current Asst. Superintendent Maggie Niedzwiecki will get probably the job.
Asst. Superintendent Maggie Niedzwiecki
Assistant Superintendent Niedzwiecki has 27 years of experience in education, serving as Assistant Superintendent of Lakewood Schools since 2018.
Maggie has led the District Innovation Task Force as well as the development of the District’s Vision of a Lakewood Graduate.
She helped expand STEM opportunities in the District through the use of maker space classrooms and Project Lead the Way.
I imagine there will be an official announcement after the BOE meeting tomorrow.
