Looks like Lakewood can't get enough Mexican food.

Cozumel and El Carnicero within blocks.

Barrio, Taco Tontos, Ohio City Burrito near-ish.

El Tango one of the longest running ones.

Sure, I guess we could also count Chipotle and Taco Bell.

That's a lot of Mexican food in a town our size (not even counting all the bars that serve tacos or anything technically in Cleveland like La Plaza or El Jalapenos). Hope Cilantro Taqueria is able to survive and doesn't just open and close quickly.

So, Alex and Rey Galindo are sons of Luchita. George's son Eddy owns the current West 117th location. We were regulars there for years, until not one, but TWO cockroach incidents, including one in which the roach came out of the bowl of chips and scurried across my plate. Haven't been there since.

Alex and Rey should do a great job at this location. Looking forward to authentic Galindo food without the cockroaches . . .
