Fire Chief Dunphy speaks of the Veterans especially James Anderson, whose father was a Lakewood Firefighter before him, and whose children went into the Fire Department.

This was at the Firefighter Memorial And Recognition Ceremony 2019.

In recent years people would come from all over if they thought Jim Anderson would be there. Possibly one of the most beloved city employees of all time.

Jim died peacefully this weekend, without pain.

Family will announce a memorial service down the road.

Jim, Godspeed. Thank you for everything you did for me, and the city I call home.

peace/love

Damn--A 23 year old candidate for Council remembers knocking on the Andersons' door on Revely and being greeted warmly by Jim
